NEW SIGHTS

I'm a very curious person.  I'm interested in seeing things... I am a journalist, and while other people call themselves fashion critics, I call myself a journalist.  And I like to get out there where it's happening.  That's what I do.

It was announced today that long time fashion journalist Suzy Menkes will be leaving her post at the International New York Times, where she has been for 26 years, to Conde Nast International.  Menkes will be the critic and reporter for the international Vogue websites, giving each her quick wit and extensive knowledge of the fashion industry.  One of my favorite articles by Ms. Menkes was published last year for T Magazine, found here, discusses the world of street style fashion and the production it has become.  It's a hilarious read and quite accurate of this show before the shows.  

I can't wait to see what she brings to the pages of Vogue.
