DEFINITIVE EXPRESSION



There are certain events that you just know you'll always remember.  This week I attended my first fashion show, and as you can see, it was nothing short of amazing.  For someone who has been following shows for quite some time, it was a surreal experience from start to finish.  

When I was younger, maybe around sixth grade, I used to set my alarm on Saturday mornings to watch Style with Elsa Klensch on CNN.  I was obsessed.  Her behind the scenes coverage of shows were completely mesmerizing, especially for a young girl in Kentucky discovering the world of fashion for the first time.  

This year marks Derek Lam's 10 year anniversary of his eponymous line, and to me his designs have never looked stronger.  "I love a woman who expresses her style quietly, yet with a definitive expression," said Lam.  I couldn't agree more.
